I spent the last day of 2011 hiking with my dad. We went to Horsetail Falls, Multnomah Falls, Wahkeena Falls and Latourell Falls. I took pictures of each and hope to have the others up soon.
Latourell Falls Columbia Gorge Scenic Highway 650 ft 2.1 miles round trip (about 1.5 hours) Easy hike
Latourell is unique among the best-known Columbia Gorge waterfalls, in the way that it drops straight down from an overhanging basalt cliff. Most of those falls, even Multnomah Falls, tumble to some degree.
Nicely done. If you haven't already, you should go down to the footbridge next time you visit Latourell and try shooting from there. You will have to deal with spray, but it's a great vantage point.
