Photos taken at Paulina Peak Overlook

So this last week, I was in Bend, Oregon. Besides the heat, it was an amazing place. The views were amazing. Including this one. This is a must see view if you ever go to Bend, Oregon.

This was a panoramic (10 photos) of the view at Paulina Peak Overlook (Paulina Peak is at 7,984 feet elevation) which is part of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument in the Deschutes National Forest. Newberry Crater and Crater Lake are both calderas of collapsed volcanoes in which melting snow formed lakes. The summit of Newberry Volcano fell during a series of eruptions 200,000 to 500,000 years ago.

In person its more clear to see but from that elevation, you can see Mt. Bachelor, Three Sisters, Broken Top, 3 fingered Jack, Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Hood and Mt Adams. You can also see others as well like Diamond Peak. The overlook provides a 360-degree view which, on a clear day, includes Cascade Range mountains in California and Washington.
The Lakes are Paulina Lake and East Lake. You can also see the obsidian flow — at 1,300 years the youngest lava flow in Oregon.

I was there once, though it was in 1998, when I was about 4 for so. I remember the drive up to the top, and not much else. xD
A nice view, in any case, although I personally feel a color photo would've had more impact.
